Older Men Dating Younger Women: Interview with Dating Coach Bullet 7 of 7

Life does go on after divorce. You either feel like your life has been taken away, or you’re relieved to leave your wife but you miss your kids. As Bullet says, “Time heals all wounds”. When you’re starting your game, avoid online dating websites especially if you have to pay for it. There are plenty of free websites for dating, but keep in mind that people are sometimes different in person than they are online. Don’t be surprised to meet a fantastic woman online, but then meet a completely different woman in person when you two meet up. This experience is another important reason to avoid the the old fashioned dinner or movie date when you’re asking a girl out.

After a divorce, nobody wants to spend an hour in a restaurant with a woman that has more problems than Charlie Sheen or sit in a dark movie theater next to her.  Instead, try going out for a drink or a cup of coffee. If you find out she isn’t your type, then just get up casually and leave without making a scene. If there is mutual chemistry, you can stick around for a few more drinks and see where the night takes you. Be sure to NOT compare the women you’re dating with your ex. Keep your emotional pain to yourself and avoid bashing her since behaving or acting negatively will lower your value. Instead, show that you have learned from your experiences and that you’re a better man because of it. Early on in the dating stages, nobody wants to hear their potential suitor complain and bash his/her ex. This makes the other person think, “Is that how he/she will talk about me if we ever break up?” Don’t look to replace your wife with the women you date, but look for women with better or different qualities than she had.

Continue the pursuit of greatness and search for something better. When you’re on a date, be in the moment. Eleanor Roosevelt wrote, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present”. Feel good about being single and enjoy your life. Accomplish the things in your life you believed you couldn’t do before when you were married. Simply have a good time on dates instead of having expectations. If you meet a woman that is an adrenaline junkie and you want to go skydiving, GO FOR IT!!! When you date beautiful women, get to know them and don’t get into the habit of thinking about relationships. Realize that it is okay to tease girls when you’re flirting, but keep it modest and don’t degrade them. Everyone starts at different levels, and you want to push yourself to get out of old habits and create new ones that fit the lifestyle you want to live.
