Wing Suits
My roommates and I went skydiving last weekend. It was amazing. I did numerous jumps in Airborne School while I was in the army, but they were low combat jumps of around 1,500 feet. You don’t really get to free fall as your shute is pulled by a static line. This jump this weekend was around 15,000 feet and we got to free fall for close to a minute.
It was such an amazing experience. I could see myself getting into this. I really like the idea of doing this with the suits in the above videos and doing jumps from cliffs and canyons.
You guys ever do anything like in this video? These guys are maniacs!

A spatula should be an optional accessory when buying the suit. That way they can scrape you off the mountain side if you get it wrong.
i saw this same video a while back and it inspired me to give skydiving a shot too. funny thing is I’m terrified of falling… which is also the main reason i decided to do it. what better way to conquer your fears right?

Skydiving is a small scene with some fun and crazy characters and as extreme sports go the learning curve is very fast. If you were committed you could be wingsuiting in a year or two no problem.
